Perfect Placement UK Ltd in Bedford is seeking a highly skilled HGV Technician to join a state-of-the-art workshop. You will perform servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a fleet of commercial vehicles to manufacturer standards.

The role offers an hourly rate up to £23, dependent on experience and qualifications, with overtime paid at time and a half Mon-Sat and double time on Sundays/bank holidays, plus extensive benefits and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified HGV Technician with City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, team-oriented attitude.
• Commitment to high standards of quality and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct servicing, routine maintenance, and repairs on HGVs in accordance with manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose and rectify faults using modern diagnostic equipment and techniques.
• Perform safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Support team members to optimise workshop operations.
• Keep detailed and accurate records of all work carried out.
