Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking a skilled HGV Technician for a reputable Wigan workshop. You will service and repair HGVs, diagnose faults, and maintain meticulous records in a modern, well-equipped environment.

The role requires Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification, with Irtec licence desirable and HGV licence advantageous. You will join a proactive, safety-focused team offering development opportunities and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent.
• Irtec licence highly desirable.
• HGV licence is an advantage but not essential.
• Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Team player with a proactive approach to tasks.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations within a workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and repairs on HGV vehicles according to industry standards.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electronic faults efficiently.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and parts used.
• Conduct vehicle inspections to identify and address potential issues proactively.
• Assist in the upkeep of workshop safety procedures and compliance standards.
• Support team members to ensure workshop productivity targets are met.
• Participate in ongoing technical training to stay current with industry developments.
