Job summary

Recruit4staff (Wrexham) Ltd advertises a Senior HGV Mechanic role in North Liverpool. You will service, maintain and repair a fleet of HGVs and plant equipment, diagnose faults, and prepare vehicles for MOT tests. Leadership to junior staff is included, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Essential qualifications include HGV servicing/repair experience, fault diagnosis skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a busy workshop. A NVQ Level 3 and an HGV licence are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing and repairing HGVs.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Capable of supporting junior team members and working independently.
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and workshop safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on a fleet of HGVs, tippers and plant equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to keep vehicles MOT-ready.
• Provide guidance and support to junior technicians.
