Job summary

Purcell Architecture is seeking a senior heritage consultant to join its heritage consultancy team in London. You will inspire clients and colleagues, deliver high-quality conservation advice, and help pursue new business opportunities within the private sector.

Based in our London studio, you will lead projects, produce conservation management plans, significance analyses, and heritage impact assessments for a range of asset typologies.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in architectural history, archaeology, building surveying or building conservation.
• Experience leading heritage projects and preparing fee proposals and bids.
• Proven track record in providing heritage advice as lead.
• Strong report writing and desk-based research skills.
• Experience coordinating with architects, engineers and statutory stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of heritage projects and provide high-quality heritage advice.
• Prepare fee proposals, bids and contribute to business development.
• Produce conservation management plans, significance and capacity analyses, and heritage impact assessments.
• Manage junior team members and develop regional skills.
• Collaborate with Purcell-led and external commissions.
