A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Herdsperson in Cheshire, North West. The role offers £45,000 to £50,000 per year, permanent full-time work, with accommodation provided on a well-operated dairy farm.

The successful candidate will manage day-to-day herd tasks, oversee grassland work, and lead a small team while maintaining high welfare standards for approximately 320 milking cows in an autumn calving herd.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent relevant to herd duties.
• Ability to manage a small team and oversee daily work on a dairy farm.
• Driving licence and right to work in the UK are essential.

Responsibilities

• Day to day herd management.

• Foot trimming and related routine tasks.
