Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Senior Healthcare Support Worker based at Ward 4, Woodland View, on a permanent, part-time basis. The role involves 32.16 hours per week (1 x Part time, 6 shifts per fortnight) with a shift pattern that supports flexible working.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team providing personal and clinical care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, delivering person-centred and recovery-focused care to older adults with mental health needs.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in working with older people with mental health problems.
• Willingness to undertake training to develop skills and competencies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of personal care activities as part of the multidisciplinary team.
• Perform clinical care tasks and other duties as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
• Deliver person-centred, recovery-focused care in partnership with the nurse.
• Promote collaborative working within a multi-disciplinary team and across multi-agency services.
