Job summary

Serco Limited is seeking an Estates Operations Manager at Great Western Hospital, Swindon. You’ll lead hard facilities management across the hospital estate, ensuring safe, compliant and reliable building services to support patient care.

You will manage budgets, drive performance, and lead multidisciplinary teams, while collaborating with NHS Trust, contractors and PFI partners to deliver service excellence and continuous improvement across the estate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing Hard Facilities Management services within a complex environment, ideally healthcare.
• Knowledge of building services, HTMs, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage budgets, drive change and improve operational performance.
• Strong leadership of managers and development of high performing teams.
• Confident with business systems, communication, influencing and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the operational Hard Facilities Management service across the hospital estate.
• Build relationships with NHS Trust, PFI partners, contractors and stakeholders.
• Drive operational performance through KPIs, compliance, risk management and improvements.
• Lead, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage operational budgets and support financial planning and forecasting.
• Support capital projects, planned maintenance and business continuity.
