Job summary

Cornerstone Healthcare Group is seeking a dedicated Senior Healthcare Assistant to join South Africa Lodge in the UK. The role focuses on compassionate, person-centred care for residents with complex needs, including dementia and neuro-degenerative conditions.

You will work closely with the nursing team to ensure safety and dignity for all residents. We welcome individuals who share our values of respect, openness, care and kindness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in care within the UK (essential).
• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care with view to completing Level 3 (essential).
• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, residents and their families.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Prioritising workload of the care team and seek nurse guidance when needed.
• Participate in staff meetings, case reviews and clinical reviews as directed by the Nurse in charge.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition against planned goals to a registered nurse.
• Support daily living activities including personal care, meals and social activities.
• Help residents maintain independence where possible and respect their choices.
• Uphold residents' privacy and dignity at all times.
