Job summary

Cornerstone Healthcare Group are seeking caring and reliable Care Assistants to support residents with complex needs in a 99-bed home in Waterlooville. Night shifts, weekend work and a 3/4 pattern ensure a steady schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience working in a care home in the UK.
• Genuine passion for helping others and promoting dignity and independence.
• Emotional resilience and a positive team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of daily living including personal care and mealtimes.
• Promote independence, choice and dignity in every interaction.
• Observe and report on changes in residents’ health and well-being.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure person-centred care.
• Communicate openly and respectfully with colleagues, residents and families.

Our 99-bed home is made up of six specialised units, each providing high-quality, person-centred care for residents living with complex needs, including dementia, mental health conditions, or other neurological disorders. What You’ll Bring

• At least 6 months experience working in a nursing home supporting residents with dementia, mental health, elderly or complex care needs within the UK (essential)
• A genuine passion for helping others and promoting dignity and independence
• Emotional resilience and a steady head in challenging situations
• A positive team-focused attitude
• A caring, reliable, and positive attitude
• Willingness to undertake training and continuous professional development
• NVQ Level 2 or working towards it (desirable)

Your Working Pattern

• Night shift: 19:45 - 07:45
• Average: 38.5 hours per week, on a 3/4 shift pattern
