Job summary

Pin Point Health is seeking a Senior Health Care Assistant to work in care home settings across Gateshead and Newcastle. The role requires NVQ Level 3, a valid DBS is advantageous, and prior experience in a senior care assistant position is essential.

• Assist with activities of daily living and domestic duties.
• Ensure health, safety and welfare of clients at all times.
• Maintain regular communication with the Home Manager.

• From £14.50 - £29.00 per hour

We're recruiting experienced Senior Healthcare Assistants to work in care home settings across Gateshead and Newcastle.

What you'll bring to the role:

• NVQ Level 3 is essential
• Transferrable DBS Certificate is preferable but not essential
• experience working within a care home environment as a Senior care assistant is essential
• To possess good manners and a flexible approach
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to be patient & keep calm under pressure
• Easily adaptable to new environments
• Reliable & trustworthy
• Access to your own transport is desirable, however this is not essential
• Flexible to work within multiple environments on a weekly basis dependent on the requirements of our clients.

The Role:

• Delivering high standards of care
• To participate in the formulation and maintenance of individual care plans for each resident and administer medication to residents as prescribed, accurately maintaining appropriate records for both
• To provide the highest level of personal care and attention to residents, following individual care plans carefully and ensuring that all contact is polite, friendly, warm and supportive.
• To act as a key worker for a named group of residents, ensuring that these responsibilities are carried out in full (as defined in the training manual).
• Assisting with activities of daily living and domestic duties
• Ensuring that the health, safety and welfare of clients is always protected
• Maintain regular communication with the Home Manager
• Ensuring effective written and oral communication at all times
