Job summary

NHS Highland is recruiting a Senior Health and Social Care Support Worker to join the integrated Care at Home service in Caithness. The role focuses on providing high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in their own homes and supporting their independence and wellbeing.

You will work closely with nurses, social workers, and allied health professionals, maintaining care records and following safeguarding procedures. A part-time post of 22.75 hours with 4-on/4-off days is offered.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
• Understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel expenses available).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in their own homes.
• Assist with personal care, medication support, continence care, nutrition & fluids, skincare, mobility.
• Support service users to maintain independence, dignity and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with nurses, social workers and allied health professionals.
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation; follow NHS Highland policies.
