Job summary

NHS Highland in Wick is seeking a compassionate Community Mental Health Support Worker to join the Sutherland Integrated Health and Social Care Team, based at Sinclair Court, Melvich.

You will support individuals with mental health difficulties in their homes and communities across North Sutherland, working with Community Mental Health Nurses and the wider team to promote independence and wellbeing; a full driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in community health or mental health setting preferred.
• Strong communication and empathy for patients and carers.
• Driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in their own homes and local communities across North Sutherland.
• Collaborate with Community Mental Health Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care.
• Assist with care plans, promote self-management, and support early intervention.
