The University of Bath is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Audit & Assurance Manager to lead the university's audit and assurance programme. You will provide independent assurance to the Executive Board and governance bodies, and help drive continuous improvement across faculties and professional services.

Based at Claverton Down with hybrid working up to two days remotely, you will design and deliver the annual risk-based audit plan, evaluate policies and risk assessments, and produce

Qualifikationen

• Significant experience of health and safety auditing within a complex organisation.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and practical application.
• Experience in developing and managing risk-based audit programmes.
• Excellent analytical, report-writing and communication skills.
• The ability to present complex information clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Proactive approach to promoting positive health and safety culture.

Aufgaben

• Design, deliver and continuously improve the health and safety audit programme.
• Provide independent assurance to University leadership and governance bodies.
• Develop risk-based audit plans informed by risk registers.
• Evaluate implementation of health and safety policies and risk assessments.
• Produce clear audit reports with findings and improvement opportunities.
• Support Departments to implement proportionate improvement plans.
• Monitor audit actions and provide progress assurance.
