Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd seeks a Senior Audit Officer to join the Provider Audit team in Bristol. Hybrid working with occasional travel across England is available, reporting to the Head of Provider Audit.

The role focuses on auditing, data analysis and assurance across higher education providers. You will plan audits, review systems and processes, analyse evidence, and produce clear reports with recommendations while engaging stakeholders and navigating regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in internal audit, assurance or investigations.
• Experience reviewing the effectiveness of systems and controls.
• Strong numerical and data analysis skills.
• Ability to work with large or complex data sets.
• Experience producing audit reports and presenting findings.
• Strong stakeholder management and independent work ability.
• Good judgement and ability to handle unexpected issues during audits.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out audits and assurance reviews.
• Review data, systems and processes to identify risks and improvements.
• Analyse information and evidence as part of audit activity.
• Produce clear audit reports and recommendations.
• Work with providers to understand findings and actions.
• Communicate findings professionally to stakeholders.
• Support regulatory teams on data submissions.
