Job summary

Principal People Recruitment seeks a Senior Health and Safety Advisor for refurbishment, fit-out and maintenance projects across the North West. This hybrid role combines on-site leadership (3 days) with office and home-based work, and offers a GBP55,000–GBP65,000 salary plus a GBP5,500 car allowance.

Responsibilities include day-to-day H&S across multiple projects, audits, incident investigations, client meetings and driving a strong safety culture while ensuring SHEQ compliance and KPI

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Construction or NEBOSH General or equivalent required.
• Experience in refurbishment, fit-out, construction, social housing, repairs and maintenance.
• Experience on live projects around the general public.

• Carrying out day-to-day health and safety across multiple projects.
• Carrying out site inspections and audits and associated reporting.
• Investigating incidents and implementing improvements.
• Attend client and contractor meetings.
• Promote and implement a strong H&S culture.
• Ensure full compliance with SHEQ policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Complete SHEQ reporting, including incidents and KPIs.

Refurbishment / Fit Out / Maintenance

North West

We are currently working with a highly–established, large scale and multidiscipline Construction organisation who are looking for a Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join their team delivering refurbishment, fit–out and maintenance projects within the social housing / local authority sectors. This role will be dedicated to a key framework and contract covering sites across the North West. Primarily Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside, and Lancashire

They re seeking a Health and Safety professional to take the reins on all things safety, site inspections, client / sub contractor meetings, accident investigation, driving compliance, and embedding a positive safety culture across the business.
