Job summary

Principal People is recruiting a Senior Health and Safety Advisor to manage HSE across refurbishment, fit-out and maintenance projects in the North West.

The role involves client and contractor meetings, incident investigations and driving a positive safety culture, with hybrid working and a £55k-£65k salary plus £5,500 car allowance.

The position focuses on social housing, local authority sectors, across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and Lancashire.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Construction or NEBOSH General or equivalent is required.
• Experience in refurbishment, fit-out, social housing, repairs and maintenance is advantageous.
• Experience on live projects involving the general public is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day health and safety across multiple projects.
• Conduct site inspections and audits and report findings.
• Investigate incidents and implement improvements.
• Attend client and contractor meetings and promote a strong H&S culture.
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ policies, procedures and legal requirements.
• Prepare SHEQ reporting including incidents and KPIs.

We are currently working with a highly-established, large scale and multidiscipline Construction organisation who are looking for a Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join their team delivering refurbishment, fit-out and maintenance projects within the social housing / local authority sectors. This role will be dedicated to a key framework and contract covering sites across the North West. Primarily Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside, and Lancashire

They're seeking a Health and Safety professional to take the reins on all things safety, site inspections, client / sub contractor meetings, accident investigation, driving compliance, and embedding a positive safety culture across the business.
