bp is seeking a Senior Security and Connectivity Engineer to assure and support secure connectivity for its EV charging estate. You will lead hardware security and connectivity initiatives, manage third parties, and help ensure reliable, secure operations across the installed base.

The role requires designing and evaluating security measures, collaborating with suppliers, and guiding testing and incident response to balance performance, cost, and safety considerations.

Competenze

• Degree or equivalent in engineering or cyber security.
• Experience designing, supporting, or securing connected devices or infrastructure.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls.
• Experience with cellular connectivity services.
• Ability to communicate risks to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Mansioni

• Provide leadership across hardware security and connectivity solutions for bp's EV charging estate.
• Assess and improve security of EV charging hardware, embedded systems and connected tech.
• Review supplier solutions and address security or connectivity risks.
• Support delivery and operation of cellular connectivity across charging sites.
• Lead investigations into connectivity or security incidents and drive resolution.
• Define technical requirements, acceptance criteria and assurance activities for new solutions.
• Support testing including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Evaluate connectivity technologies (cellular, broadband, fibre, Ethernet, wireless).
• Maintain high-quality technical documentation, designs and assurance records.
