Job summary

The Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is inviting applications for a Senior Hand Therapist to provide clinical and operational leadership for the Hand Therapy service across three London boroughs.

You will lead the Hand Therapy team, deliver expert, evidence-based care and support professional development while carrying line management responsibilities in a patient-centred environment.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is essential.
• Significant experience in Hand Therapy and leadership.
• Ability to lead, supervise and appraise MDT members and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical leadership in assessment, treatment, and management of Hand Therapy patients.
• Offer specialist guidance to MDT and external professionals on Hand Therapy care.
• Lead Hand Therapy team in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating services.
• Lead teaching, supervision, and appraisal of staff and students.
• Deliver highly specialised care for complex Hand Therapy patients and participate in service improvement initiatives.
