Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a Band 7 Biomedical Scientist in Haematology for a client in Brighton. The role focuses on processing and interpreting haemoglobinopathy samples and supporting UKAS accreditation.

The successful candidate will train staff, review SOPs and contribute to the Ante-Natal Screening programme while ensuring high-quality patient care and accurate diagnostic reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in haematology and haemoglobinopathy diagnostics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Process and analyse haemoglobinopathy samples using Tosoh G11.
• Interpret and report results to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
• Train and assess staff; review SOPs; support Ante-Natal Screening and UKAS accreditation.
