Job summary

Meliá Hotels International in London is seeking a Senior Groups & Events Sales Executive to drive successful conversion, planning and delivery of groups and events. You will coordinate operations from contract to post-event follow-up, acting as the main client touchpoint across multiple hotel departments.

You will identify upsell opportunities for Food & Beverage, meeting spaces and services, while ensuring profitable terms and high guest satisfaction throughout the event lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in Groups & Events, Conference & Banqueting or Sales in hotel environments is desirable.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with ability to manage multiple bookings and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and internal stakeholder interactions.
• A genuine passion for delivering excellent service and creating positive client experiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage confirmed group and event bookings from contract to departure with accurate planning and communication.
• Coordinate pre-event logistics: contracts, deposits, billing, accommodation and event documentation.
• Liaise with hotel departments to ensure smooth event delivery and full understanding of client requirements.
• Prepare and distribute BEO batches, weekly event summaries and reports for operations.
• Maintain bookings in SAP and internal systems within required timescales.
• Support the Groups & Events Manager and Sales Coordinator with allocation and organisation of business.
• Conduct showrounds for clients to showcase meeting, conference and event spaces.
