Job summary

JSS is seeking a Group Reporting Manager for an 18-month fixed-term contract in London. You will own the group consolidation and group financial statements, leading a team of three and partnering with senior finance leadership during a busy period.

Key requirements include ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, strong consolidation experience within life/pensions or insurance, and hands-on Solvency II and IFRS 17 knowledge. The role is hybrid in London.

Qualifications

• Experience in group consolidation and production of group financial statements.
• Experience leading a team and developing staff.
• Experience with month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Knowledge of Solvency II and IFRS 17 reporting.
• Ability to engage senior stakeholders and coordinate with actuarial, tax and risk teams.
• Experience supporting external audit and confirming accounting positions.
• Experience identifying process improvements in consolidation.

Responsibilities

• Own group consolidation and production of group financial statements.
• Lead and develop a team of 3, setting priorities and raising quality.
• Drive month-end, quarter-end and year-end close to a tight timetable.
• Support Solvency II reporting and IFRS 17/regulatory numbers interactions.
• Partner with actuarial, risk, tax and finance for outputs.
• Support external audit and review technical accounting positions.
• Look for ways to streamline consolidation process.
