Job summary

Northern Powergrid is seeking a Group Reporting & Consolidation Accountant SME to provide subject matter expertise across Group Reporting, Financial Consolidation, Statutory Reporting and Period-End Close, supporting the design, implementation and optimisation of our Finance transformation programme.

The SME will work as the primary Finance representative for consolidated reporting requirements, ensuring IFRS/UK regulatory needs are reflected in systems and processes, and will partner with IT,

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Group Reporting and Financial Consolidation.
• Experience delivering consolidated financial statements.
• Experience supporting finance transformation and ERP changes.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for Group Reporting, Consolidation and Financial Close.
• Define, document and validate statutory and management reporting requirements.
• Represent Finance requirements in design workshops and solution walkthroughs.
• Decide on reporting hierarchies, eliminations and close activities.
• Lead testing (SIT, UAT) and validation for reporting processes.
• Support month-, quarter- and year-end close optimisations.
