Job summary

Northern Powergrid is seeking a Group Reporting & Consolidation Accountant SME to provide subject matter expertise across Group Reporting, Financial Consolidation, Statutory Reporting and Period-End Close as part of the Finance transformation programme.

The role ensures accurate reflection of statutory, regulatory, management and shareholder reporting needs within systems, processes and controls, collaborating with multiple Finance SMEs to deliver an integrated end-to-end Finance solution.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Group Reporting, Financial Consolidation or Group Accounting within a large organisation.
• Strong understanding of consolidated financial reporting and group accounting principles.
• Experience preparing consolidated financial statements and reporting submissions to group or parent organisations.
• Experience supporting statutory reporting, month-end close and year-end reporting processes.
• Experience with complex legal entity structures and multi-entity reporting environments.
• Experience participating in Finance transformation or ERP implementation programmes.

Responsibilities

• Act as the programme Subject Matter Expert for Group Reporting, Consolidation and Financial Close processes.
• Define, document and validate business requirements for statutory reporting, management reporting and group consolidation.
• Represent Group Finance requirements in design workshops and solution walkthroughs.
• Make functional decisions on reporting hierarchies, consolidations and close activities.
• Lead testing activities including SIT, UAT and business validation for reporting and consolidation processes.
