Job summary

Surelock McGill Group is seeking a senior Health & Safety Manager to lead the Group H&S strategy across multiple UK and US sites. The role requires managing compliance with UK HSE legislation, ISO 45001/14001, and driving a proactive safety culture.

You will be responsible for RAMS, safety policies, contractor controls, and incident investigations, reporting to the QHSE team. The position is site-based with a single shift pattern and contract hours tailored per site.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma required, essential.
• Experience maintaining ISO 45001/14001 systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across multi-site operations.
• Strategic yet hands-on H&S leadership across manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Group Health & Safety strategy across all sites.
• Maintain H&S systems and ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and ISO standards.
• Act as the Groups competent person for Health and Safety under HSWA 1974.
• Manage digitised H&S platform, RAMS, policies and site procedures.
• Develop and manage contractor control, permit-to-work for high-risk activities.
• Conduct audits and site inspections to ensure compliance and welfare standards.
• Lead investigations and root cause analyses for incidents and near-misses.
