Get Recruited (UK) Ltd in Chorley, Lancashire is seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller/Finance Manager to lead financial reporting, compliance and controls across several group entities. This senior role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and ongoing business improvement projects.

The successful candidate will manage the close, consolidate reporting and drive robust financial processes in a hands-on environment with a view to supporting growth and system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or qualified by experience.
• Extensive experience as Group Financial Controller / Finance Manager or senior finance role.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge for group reporting.
• Experience producing statutory accounts and managing external audits.
• Solid understanding of financial controls, balance sheet management and compliance.
• Proficient with Excel and ERP/finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and consolidate across multiple entities.
• Prepare monthly management information and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and strong financial controls.
• Oversee intercompany accounting and recharges.
• Prepare cash flow reports and forecast balance sheets.
• Coordinate statutory accounts and year-end audit activities.
• Collaborate with auditors, tax advisers and senior stakeholders.
• Ensure VAT and statutory compliance across the group.
• Support finance system enhancements and reporting improvements.
• Mentor junior finance staff and guide Management Accountants.
