Job summary

Topps Tiles is seeking a senior buying professional to lead the Essentials category strategy, working with the Head of Buying to deliver an optimal product portfolio across Topps Group trading units.

You will source exclusive ranges, drive cost-efficiency, manage supplier performance, and lead a team of Buyers while collaborating across supply chain, merchandising and finance to optimise margins and stock turns.

Qualifications

• Strong buying experience and a proven track record of over achievement in retail buying.
• International sourcing experience.
• Willingness to undertake overseas travel.
• Demonstrates creative thinking and numeracy.
• Professional and collaborative approach across the business.

Responsibilities

• Develop category plans and long-term strategy for Essentials products across Topps Group trading units.
• Source exclusive ranges and optimise the supplier base to maximise margins.
• Negotiate complex contracts and terms with suppliers.
• Lead and mentor Junior Buyers; align buying with supply chain and business needs.
• Manage supplier relationships, trading terms and performance; monitor market trends.
