DFS Group seeks a Group Application Development Manager to lead our Application Development team, delivering high-quality software solutions and governance for projects, enhancements and BAU across the Group.

You will coach a talented development function, collaborating with stakeholders, shaping priorities, and driving continuous improvement while aligning with security standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading software development teams in IT or retail environments.
• Strong delivery discipline with governance, risk, and quality focus.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Budget, resource and supplier relationship management experience.
• Structured problem solving and decision making under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Group Software Development to deliver on the roadmap.
• Oversee projects, BAU, enhancements and bug fixes.
• Manage backlog, sprints, and capacity with realistic timelines.
• Establish KPIs and monitor performance and risks.
• Partner with business to shape priorities and demand.
