Job summary

MCS Group is seeking a Group Accountant to join its finance team, providing financial insight and partnering with senior stakeholders to drive performance and growth.

The role focuses on maintenance, forecasting, and consolidation across entities, with exposure to strategic planning and statutory accounts. ACCA/CIMA or equivalent experience is preferred, offering opportunities to influence commercial decisions.

Qualifications

• Qualified through ACCA/CIMA or qualified by experience.
• Commercial experience preparing accounts.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Effective communication and analytical.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, review and audit of financial records and accounting systems.
• Financial forecasting and strategic planning.
• Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts.
• Oversight and completion of multiple sets of accounts.
• Inter‑company, balance sheet, bank and supplier reconciliations.
• Management accounts and variance analysis.
• Preparation of statutory company accounts.
