RWE Supply & Trading GmbH in the UK seeks a senior Transmission & Markets specialist to shape investment decisions across grid infrastructure, energy markets and new assets. You’ll translate technical transmission insights into commercially relevant recommendations that influence portfolio value and strategy.

Working with senior stakeholders across Development, Commercial, Engineering and Regulatory Affairs, you’ll navigate a rapidly evolving power system and guide strategy through the energy

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Energy Systems or similar.
• At least five years’ relevant experience at utility/renewable developer, grid or system operator, energy consultancy or similar.
• Strong knowledge of the UK power system: transmission, distribution, grid connections, constraints, network charging, power markets.
• Hands-on power flow simulations using DIgSILENT, Python or similar software.
• Fluent English with ability to explain complex information to technical and senior audiences.
• Collaborative and curious approach to move decisions forward in a shifting environment.

Responsabilidades

• Bring insight into UK transmission and distribution systems, including network development and grid connections.
• Support decisions throughout the asset lifecycle from site selection to operation.
• Assess how constraints and market reforms affect revenues, costs, risks and value.
• Conduct power flow and congestion studies using in-house tools and external consultants.
• Translate complex analyses into clear, decision-ready recommendations for senior management.
• Build and improve AI-enabled data analysis and model validation approaches.
• Bridge technical and commercial perspectives across a matrix organisation.
