Job summary

Verda is hiring for on-site Data Center Technician roles in a high-density GPU environment. The team operates around the clock with 8-hour shift rotations and emphasizes practical hands-on work on server installation, cabling, and troubleshooting.

Senior levels involve leading deployments, mentoring juniors, and improving procedures. Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must already have UK work rights and be prepared for a full-time on-site role in a fast-growing, globally active

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of progressive data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Direct hands-on experience with enterprise GPU servers (NVIDIA Ampere, Hopper, or Blackwell generations).
• Ability to operate independently and improvise with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work on-site full-time in shift rotation.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain GPU servers, storage, networking equipment, and structured cabling.
• Diagnose and repair complex hardware faults on enterprise GPU servers.
• Perform rack and stack, cabling, and hardware refresh work to high quality.
• Troubleshoot network faults and fibre cabling for switch integration.
• Monitor data center environmental conditions and respond to alerts during shifts.
• Contribute to build-outs, migrations, and refresh projects.
• Write and improve SOPs and mentor junior technicians on the team.
