Job summary

Consult is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a central government programme in Leeds. You will sit in a multi-disciplinary agile team, running workshops to extract requirements and documenting them for delivery. One day a week in Leeds, four days remote, with a six-month initial contract.

You'll lead workshops, map data flows, and produce SIPOC/process models, ensuring stakeholder consensus and traceability for epics and stories within INVEST. BPSS/SC considerations apply; IR35 inside.

Qualifications

• UK central government delivery experience on engagements of six months or longer.
• Experienced business analyst working inside agile delivery teams with developers and testers.
• Writing stories, features and acceptance criteria to INVEST using GIVEN/WHEN/THEN.
• Data mapping, data flow mapping and SIPOC/process modelling.
• Jira and Confluence as core working tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead workshops, interviews and focus groups to understand the business problem and user needs.
• Translate requirements into epics, features and stories with acceptance criteria.
• Produce data flow mapping and SIPOC models to align stakeholders.
• Manage relationships across policy, strategy and operations to shape design.
• Define test scenarios and collaborate with testers and developers on defects.
• Identify process improvements and weigh risks, issues and benefits.
• Support business cases and cost–benefit analysis; advise the Product Owner on sprint content.
