Job summary

PhysicsX Ltd invites applications for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Core Services team in London. You will build the foundational primitives enabling secure, permissioned collaboration across AI-driven, multi-tenant platforms.

You will own authentication, RBAC/ABAC models, telemetry, and security standards, while mentoring engineers and shaping deployment practices for enterprise-grade reliability.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering foundations with excellent code quality and testability.
• Experience building authentication/identity systems and RBAC/ABAC in multi-tenant environments.
• Proficiency in Golang and Python for backend services.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, GitOps (ArgoCD), and cloud IAM ecosystems.
• Experience with telemetry pipelines and observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement authentication and authorization systems, including identity provider integrations and SSO flows.
• Architect RBAC/ABAC models to scale across multi-tenant environments.
• Own the platform's permissions layer end-to-end including auditing and compliance reporting.
• Build telemetry infrastructure for distributed tracing, logging, metrics, and alerting.
• Define security standards for APIs and services, including least-privilege access patterns.
• Design identity patterns for AI agents and multi-tenant workflows.
• Contribute to multi-service architecture design with secure integration across services.
• Drive CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment pipelines with zero-downtime releases.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in technical decision-making.
