Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior software engineer in London to drive the evolution of large-scale systems using Go, AWS, and Azure. You will contribute to platform reliability, observability, and scalable delivery while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating across teams.

The role emphasizes CI/CD, automation, and best practices in security and design patterns. Strong Golang experience and cloud proficiency are essential, with additional web tech familiarity a plus.

Qualifications

• Highest level of proficiency developing applications using most of the listed technologies.
• Strong Golang knowledge and experience.
• Knowledge of AWS products such as Lambdas and DynamoDB.
• Comfortable working in Azure and Azure DevOps environments.
• Containerisation and infrastructure-as-code approach.
• Good understanding of development methodologies and design patterns.
• Cloudflare knowledge.
• C# ASP.NET and .NET Core are a plus but not necessary.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, Astro, and NodeJS is a plus.
• Willingness to learn; candidates do not need to meet every listed requirement.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evolve and modernise large-scale systems using Go, AWS and Azure.
• Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Build automation for infrastructure deployment, monitoring and scaling.
• Contribute to CI/CD tooling and processes across teams.
