Job summary

Codurance is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Go) for a fast-growing tech company in London to join a core product team. You will own problems from concept through implementation, rollout, and ongoing support in a high-trust, collaborative environment.

You will design and build high-throughput systems in AWS, lead end-to-end features, and mentor engineers. This is a 6-month contract, inside IR35, with day rates of £600–£650, based in Greater London.

Qualifications

• Go development background
• Experience building high-traffic, scalable systems in the cloud
• Strong understanding of API design principles and best practices
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-throughput, reliable systems powering core platform components.
• Lead end-to-end feature implementations from concept to monitoring and improvement.
• Architect scalable solutions as transaction volumes grow.
• Write clean, well-tested code and contribute to engineering standards.
• Lead design discussions and architecture decisions with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, Risk, and Operations to translate business needs into robust solutions.
• Shape product direction with technical insight and delivery estimates.
• Partner with Support to investigate and resolve production issues.
• Mentor engineers and uplift engineering practices across the team.
• Influence team culture and engineering processes beyond the codebase.
