Qualifications

• Knowledge of specialist psychological therapies for older adults with cognitive impairment.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex information to clients, families and colleagues.
• Doctoral level knowledge of research methodology and multivariable data analysis.
• Formal training in clinical supervision of trainees and staff.
• Proven continuing professional development as required by HCPC.
• Experience of providing assessment, formulation and treatment across care settings.
• Desirable: knowledge of relevant legislation affecting the client group.

Responsibilities

• Neuropsychological assessment to aid differential diagnosis of dementia and post diagnostic support.
• Provision of evidence-based psychological therapies for cognitive impairment and related mental health difficulties.
• Indirect work including formulation and MDT consultation.
• Supervision of trainee clinical psychologists and assistant psychologists.
