Job summary

Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust is advertising a post for an old age specialist psychiatrist to provide medical input into the community Treatment team/memory service in North Cumbria. The post holder is expected to have total DCC of 8 pa and 2 pa for SPA, working with a multidisciplinary team across older people services.

• GMC registration is required to practice in the UK, and sponsorship is not available for GMC credentials.

Responsibilities

• Participate in engagement, assessment, diagnosis and formulation of patients referred to the EIP.
• Deliver excellence in clinical care.
• Work with the multidisciplinary community team and in-patient teams.
• Promote the safety and well-being of the patients we serve.
• Respect the rights and dignity of patients.
• Consider the individual and cultural needs of patients.
• Work with families and carers in the best interest of the patient (in line with the Trust Carers' Charter)
