Job summary

Qualifications

• Entry-level qualification in Applied Psychology accepted by HCPC for professional registration.
• Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
• Post‑qualification training in a specialised area or portfolio of supervised practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialist psychological assessments for older adults with frailty, dementia, delirium, or complex health needs.
• Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions tailored to older adults and carers.
• Act as keyworker or care coordinator within MDT and contribute to care planning.
• Supervise junior psychologists, assistant psychologists, and trainees.
• Deliver teaching and training to MDT colleagues and other professionals.
• Promote psychologically informed practice and research within frailty and older adult services.
• Ensure documentation meets governance standards and information governance requirements.
• Initiate and supervise service evaluations, audits, and research activity.
