Job summary

West London NHS Trust is seeking an experienced ward psychologist to support older people’s in-patient services in Ealing. The role focuses on dementia and frail individuals, with emphasis on complex formulations and discharge planning linked to community teams.

Based at Jubilee Ward, St Bernard’s Hospital in Ealing and The Limes in Southall, you will supervise an Assistant Psychologist, receive regular supervision from a Clinical Psychologist, and contribute to staff wellbeing and CPD.

Qualifications

• Experience as ward psychologist in older people’s mental health services.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex formulations and psychological assessments and interventions.
• Support discharge planning and link to community teams.
• Collaborate within the MDT and supervise the Assistant Psychologist.
• Engage with families of patients returning home.
