Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Specialist In-Situ Testing Technician to join the Geotechnical team. You will work on a range of ground investigation projects, leading CPT and pressure meter testing, data collection and reporting while maintaining high health and safety standards.

You will collaborate with Logging Engineers and Field teams, organise site mobilisation, and develop skills in advanced in-situ testing techniques across the country.

Qualifications

• Experience leading CPT testing to SOCOTEC/UKAS standards.
• Proven ability to organise mobilisation and demobilisation of sites.
• Strong on-site data collection and reporting of results.
• Commitment to Health and Safety rules on site.
• Ability to calibrate and maintain testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop skills in specialist in-situ testing within a small field team.
• Operate CPT and pressure meter equipment across varied projects.
• Calibrate and maintain testing gear and report findings.
• Support site records and contribute to data interpretation.
