Job summary

Randstad Cpe London is recruiting a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a specialist ground engineering team supporting one of the UK's largest infrastructure programmes. The role covers earthworks, foundations, retaining structures and ground conditions across major civils contracts between London and Birmingham.

Hybrid working with three days in the Birmingham office; you will review technical information, advise on standards, and help translate design into practical construction while

Qualifications

• Significant experience as Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist within civil engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge across both earthworks and foundations.
• Broad ground engineering experience including retaining structures, ground conditions and construction materials.
• Experience across geotechnical design and site-based delivery, balancing design intent with construction challenges.
• Ability to critically review designs, reports and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist support across earthworks, foundations, retaining structures, ground conditions and construction materials.
• Review technical information, challenge proposals and advise on standards and specifications.
• Help project teams translate designs into practical, robust construction solutions.
• Engage with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and technical specialists to resolve geotechnical issues.
