Position: Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Woking, UK
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum
We are seeking a highly experienced, technically strong, and versatile Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a world-class engineering consultancy delivering complex onshore and offshore projects across the energy, oil & gas, and low-carbon sectors.
Key Responsibilities and Expertise:
Strong technical proficiency in geotechnical engineering for both onshore and offshore applications.
Proficient in industry tools such as SACS-PSI, L-Pile, GRLWEAP, MathCAD, along with robust manual calculation capabilities.
Lead geotechnical design, data interpretation, and deliverables across feasibility, FEED, and EPC project phases.
Familiarity with international design codes and standards, including ISO, DNV, and BS/EN.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably with a focus in Geotechnical Engineering.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or actively working towards it.
Proven experience in oil & gas and/or low-carbon energy transition sectors.
Desirable Additional Experience:
Exposure to civil or structural engineering disciplines.
Effective working in multi-disciplinary teams and cross-functional environments.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
Proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented team player.
Comfortable working in hybrid and international team environments.
Leadership & Oversight:
Experience in supervising, reviewing, and validating technical work by others.
Skilled in planning and overseeing site investigations, and contributing to procurement and proposal development.
Ability to support technical strategy, resource planning, and team development
