Job summary

Coffey Geotechnics, A Tetra Tech Company in Harrogate is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to deliver geotechnical engineering across projects from investigation to design and site delivery.

You will lead technical tasks, mentor junior engineers, liaise with clients, apply Eurocode 7 and UK standards, and use PLAXIS, FREW, SLIDE and Settle3D to produce robust solutions across highways, rail, property, water and energy sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology (or related discipline) with geotechnical consultancy experience.
• Chartered status or progress towards it is desirable.
• CSCS certification and a valid driving licence are required.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of geotechnical projects from investigation and design through to site delivery.
• Design foundations, slopes, retaining walls and assess existing structures; develop remedial solutions.
• Guide junior colleagues, build client relationships, contribute to proposals and opportunities.
• Communicate complex technical information clearly while upholding quality, safety and professional standards.
