Job summary

Asda is seeking a Lead Manager - Geospatial to lead and evolve its geospatial capability, delivering a strategic roadmap that enables data-driven decision making across the business.

You will translate geospatial intelligence into measurable commercial value, embed capabilities in key decisions, and lead a team of analysts and specialists while partnering with senior stakeholders across Property, Online, Customer and Tech.

Qualifications

• Experience leading analytics, geospatial or data science functions in a large organisation.
• Expertise applying geospatial analytics to business challenges.
• Strong SQL, Python and cloud data platforms knowledge (Databricks).
• Experience with ESRI desktop and web GIS.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the geospatial strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Build relationships with senior leaders across functions.
• Lead and develop a team of managers, analysts and specialists.
• Oversee geospatial analytics, modelling and location-based decision support.
• Drive governance of geospatial data assets and delivery of solutions.
• Establish success measures and communicate value of geospatial investments.
