Job summary

Ocado Group is seeking a Geospatial DataAnalyst for Last Mile analytics in Hatfield, hybrid (2 days in office). You will transform final-mile delivery planning through geospatial insights and advanced modelling.

You will lead analytics projects, develop data-driven strategies for routing and network planning, and mentor colleagues while collaborating across global partners to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Experience applying geospatial analytics to optimise delivery networks and routing.
• Strong stakeholder management with proven impact delivery.
• Proficiency in SQL and BigQuery for data extraction and analysis.
• Programming experience with Python or R is beneficial.
• Ability to create dashboards using Looker, Tableau or Looker Studio.
• Analytical mindset with skill to translate data into business insights, incl. AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Support last-mile analytics roadmap aligned with organisational goals.
• Partner with Last Mile leadership on route optimisation and network planning.
• Build forecasting and optimisation models to improve capacity and efficiency.
• Apply statistics and machine learning to derive actionable insights.
• Track performance trends and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Design and maintain interactive dashboards for real-time insights.
• Collaborate with software teams to integrate analytics into workflows.
• Provide guidance to international partners and strategy planners.
• Mentor team members and promote analytics best practices.
