PureGym in London is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead the spatial analytics and model development across the business, blending home and office work in Angel. You'll influence decisions on location strategy, pricing and estate growth.

Join a small, experienced team focused on turning ideas into production-ready assets, with a strong emphasis on explainability, uncertainty, and delivering tangible commercial value to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong data science fundamentals with geospatial expertise affecting real-world decisions.
• Experience building geospatial models for retail, leisure, property, or real estate.
• Experience taking models from prototype through to production.
• Proficient Python and SQL with maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Own the spatial and location models from prototype to production.
• Build and evolve catchment, location and demand models.
• Collaborate with Property and Finance to translate questions into analytics.
• Rigorously validate models with out-of-time tests and uncertainty measures.
• Develop approaches for locations with limited historical data.
• Turn outputs into reusable scalable data assets.
• Partner with MLOps to deploy, monitor and retrain models.
• Turn model outputs into clear commercial recommendations.
• Evaluate external models with technical rigour.
• Contribute to shared development standards.
• Help shape the future of spatial analytics at PureGym.
