Job summary

Xoople is building Earth's System of Record and is seeking a Senior GIS Product Engineer to design and deliver geospatial Data & AI products. You will create cloud-native platforms, services and map interfaces that turn complex spatial data into accessible, actionable products for advanced analytics and AI-driven use cases.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering geospatial Data & AI products from design to production.
• Hands-on creation of interactive geospatial visualisations and web maps.
• Experience with raster/vector tiling using COG, Zarr, STAC, TiTiler, PostGIS.
• Strong knowledge of OGC standards (API, WMS, WFS, WMTS, WCS) and STAC.
• Expertise in geospatial data modeling, indexing and CRS handling.
• Proficient Python/SQL for geospatial processing (GDAL/OGR, rasterio, GeoPandas, xarray, PostGIS, FastAPI).
• Pragmatic, high-quality AI-assisted and agentic tooling development.
• Proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional international teams.
• Degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Geography/Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable geospatial data products and services.
• Build and operate GIS serving layers, STAC catalogues, tiling pipelines and vector tile workflows.
• Developrobust GIS applications and map interfaces using cloud-native ESRI/open-source tech.
• Model geospatial data and workflows with trust-worthy freshness and lineage metrics.
• Contribute to product innovation, including AI models in production over geospatial archives.
• Ensure interoperability across the data ecosystem and customer tools.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
