Job summary

APEM Group is seeking a Senior Geomorphologist to join our Hydromorphology team in the Water Management Division. You will lead a portfolio of geomorphology and hydromorphology projects, coordinating fieldwork, analysing sediment dynamics and geomorphological data, and delivering high-quality reports for clients and regulators.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in geomorphology or related field plus consultancy/regulatory experience.
• Experience delivering river restoration schemes across varied river types.
• Strong understanding of geomorphological processes and sediment dynamics.
• Experience in fieldwork: restoration appraisal, fluvial audits, habitat surveys and sediment sampling.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience coordinating tasks and delivering work to time, cost and quality targets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and manage a portfolio of geomorphology and hydromorphology projects.
• Coordinate fieldwork and analyze complex geomorphological data.
• Prepare high‑quality technical reports and liaise with clients, regulators and project teams.
• Work with Principal Geomorphologists on strategic and technical leadership, while maintaining autonomy.
