Matchtech Group is seeking an Associate or Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer to lead the Land Quality & Remediation team across the UK, with Nottingham or Stoke as a base, and hybrid & flexible working. You will oversee site investigations, contaminated land assessments and remediation, drive business development and client relationships, mentor junior staff, and help shape the future growth of the consultancy.

The role combines technical leadership with project delivery and budget oversight.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline.
• Chartered status desirable.
• Proven experience managing projects, teams, clients and budgets.
• Strong business development and client-facing experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience with planning and regulatory frameworks.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop a team of engineers and environmental consultants
• Manage site investigations, contaminated land assessments and remediation projects
• Drive business development, bid submissions and work-winning activities
• Build and maintain key client relationships across multiple sectors
• Oversee project finances, budgets and commercial performance
• Review technical reports, risk assessments and remediation strategies
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level consultants
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary planning, engineering and environmental teams
