Job summary

Evan Craig is seeking a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant for its Northwich team. The role will manage ground investigations, risk assessments and remediation strategies across property development, infrastructure and construction sectors.

You will mentor junior staff, ensure HSE compliance, and interact with clients and regulators while delivering technically robust reports and proposals. This position offers strong progression within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in geo-environmental or geotechnical consultancy.
• Degree in geology, environmental science, geotechnical/civil engineering or related field.
• Strong IT skills with MS Office.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Chartered status desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead ground investigations and client liaison.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Prepare proposals, tenders, and manage budgets.
• Produce Phase I/II, risk assessments, and geotechnical reports.
• Oversee remediation verification, earthworks and waste management.
• Apply soil mechanics to foundation design and settlement calculations.
• Review outputs and improve templates and processes.
• Build and maintain client relationships and communicate with regulators.
• Contribute to ISO procedures and internal policies.
• Support project planning and financial management.
