Job summary

Stellar Entertainment is seeking a Senior Generalist & Physics Engineer in Guildford to join our engineering team. You will work across gameplay, systems, engine and physics to optimise code for target platforms, and design vehicle-related systems to bring believability to our next-generation titles.

You will profile, benchmark and debug code, resolving bottlenecks and collaborating with designers and producers to tune handling.

Qualifications

• Senior C++ engineering role in the games industry (AAA or optimisation projects).
• Proficient in C++ and familiar with OO and data-oriented programming.

Responsibilities

• Work across gameplay, systems, engine and physics to optimise code for target platforms.
• Design and implement vehicle-related systems.
• Profile, benchmark, and optimise code across CPU.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with designers and producers to tune handling feel.
• Work with platform engineers to exploit hardware capabilities and hit targets.
• Review and provide feedback on colleagues' code to maintain high engineering standards.
• Learn unfamiliar systems quickly and improve existing code.
